The Department is responsible for the maintenance of all Council infrastructure in the urban area. It is under this function that the department cleans drains, replaces road signs, rehabilitates raised walkways, and maintains potholes for the various roads within the urban area. The Department in its effort to keep the town clean further does grass cutting on all the town’s main and township’s road reserves.
